Göteborgs Cykelfestival 2012

Komet Club Rouleur hosted yet another successful bike festival on June 9 at Lagerhuset.  We had somewhere north of 200 visitors, including Matt, Lucy and Alice.

There was an improvised child activity corner, though Bea really enjoyed watching the roller racing and following the action on the big clock.  The live band accompanying the racing was a bit loud for her though.

Bea and Madeleine rode home when the racing was through.  More pics from the event on Flickr:

Nationaldagen

For Sweden's National day on June 6 we met up with Anders and Helen in Falköping for a little market they had.

The nice bike shop in Falköping was closed, but I thought mom might appreciate this vegetable-garden themed Monark.

Bea's bike

Picked up Bea's frame from the powder coater's today.  RAL 5002 instead of 5001, but still a nice shade of blue with a hint of purple.

Everyone does this now before they assemble their bike.  OK.

Bea installing a headset.  If you have to improvise a headset press, you can do a lot worse than 20mm acme threaded rod and assorted spacers.

One happy bike owner.

Bea gave us this little present.

There were snacks afterwards.

Bea wants to be a doctor, apparently.

Sunday on the roof

Our courtyard, the roof of the garage, was the scene of today's sunny day activities with the neighbors.  The super tore out all the vegetation for some reason, and will replace it in August he says.

Madeleine using the dumb waiter to lower playthings to the gård.

Neighbor Jenny found these large bubble forms that we gave Erik for his birthday a couple years ago.

Some new red, white and blue chalk came in handy.

Some other chalk we used to make this giant lego minifig drawing.  Harry, Bea, Erik.
