Göteborgs Cykelfestival

Last weekend Komet Club Rouleur hosted our third annual Göteborgs Cykelfestival at Lagerhuset near Järntorget.  Yet again, the weather cooperated and a great time was had by all.  We had about 400 unique visitors during the two days of presentations, exhibitions, films, and workshops.  The Stoops family also played host to a couple of visitors, Bea's classmate Maya, who came for a sleepover Friday night...

...and friend Patch, who also slept over.

Bea's friend Saskia came to the festival...

...as did Simon, from France, who just happened to be passing through on his bike...

...which was appropriate, as we had touring bikes as our exhibition theme.

There were even activities for kids...

...who may be inspired to ride bikes themselves!

The party in the evening featured roller racing as usual...

...with Jonatan and Sophie as hosts.

Bea and Saskia watched in amazement...

...as the competitors gave their all for 500m.  There was even a familiar face in the women's competition:

The highlight of the Sunday program was a workshop by our guest from Germany/China, the cycling acrobat/entrepreneur Ines Brunn.  She demonstrated simple tricks on her special bike...

...and let people try them for themselves.

All our hard work was recognized by the local paper, as we made the front page, and got a full page spread filled with plenty of pictures:
