In the middle of this long holiday weekend it was time to drive to Essunga and pick up the newest member of our household, Gaspard (named by Bea), the 8 week old whippet puppy!
Stefan wasn't yet there when we drove up, but the puppy came out to see who had come anyway...
...then he wrestled a bit with his sister...
...and played a chasing game with all the other puppies.
He greeted Bea through the fence.
After the necessary paperwork it was time for the fateful care drive up, just as a storm hit.
But the storm soon passed, and Gaspard soon felt right at home in our apartment. He spent the night in Bea's room (with Hans in the bed to take him out in case of emergencies in the middle of the night). He slept right through the night without incident!
