We took the car out of its free overnight spot and headed west to explore the environs on the outskirts of Paris.
Madeleine braved the streets of Paris...
...and we headed to Poissy.
To see Le Courbusier's masterpiece Villa Savoye. Here the camera's battery gave out.
But the phone works well enough. Here is the house's central ramp.
Indoor-outdoor living space.
Master bath.
Terraces.
A really amazing experience. The home was totally open, sparcely visited, and an exciting glimpse at revolutionary 20th century architecture.
After stopping for crepes...
We headed to Versailles, and skipped the crowds around the main palace to visit Marie Antoinette's Hameau.
And strolled through the gardens back to the car.
