While we've had but 5 days over 25 degrees C here in Sweden this summer, the end of August has treated us pretty well. We took a walk in the evening sun up to the hill behind our house...
Bea playing at Daycare.
We headed out Saturday morning to the pick-your-own vegetables place, hoping for some fresh corn and other goodies. Corn still hasn't ripened- three weeks late this year! But there was plenty else. And they did have a little corn you could buy that they'd picked that morning.
We stopped for lunch at a little cafe.
Our veggie haul. All this for less than 100kr. And a couple of mackarel for 30. And a bottle of Lagunitas from Petaluma!
We went to Matt and Emilie's for a second kräftskiva. I made up a cocktail with our freshly picked cucumbers and cilantro with white rum and lime. Madeleine made a quiche. And I smoked those mackerel with some fennel.
